Here on the vine there is a little game of "tag" going on. The game works like this. There is a newsvine group "8 Things You Don't Know". Someone from this group tags you and your are to to write an article "8 things you don't know about me" then post it to your column. Someone from the groups then clips it into the group.
Our friend Tedd R. has been "tagged" by Mel and has been avoiding this "project" like the plague. I haven't read where Tedd doesn't want to participate, and he keeps asking for help in writing his 8 things project. Just yesterday he asked if he could just copy my submission.
Being the friendly guy I am I replied - "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do." Additionally I gave him some hints on things he might write.
So here I am on a sunny Saturday afternoon in Cincinnati, and have decided to write a "4 things" for him. I feel like writing, need a story to write, don't mind giving someone a hard time, and if I can help a friend in the process, better yet.
So fellow viners, 8 things members, and of course Tedd, without further delay I give you "The Four Things You'll Never Know About Tedd R." - All of which is fiction because I really don't know the guy. And Tedd I'm only writing 4 things because you have to do some of the work.
1) I am not techno savvy. Damn, I can barely figure out how to turn on my computer. Once my pc is on I can never find the bookmark I left to find this site. Once here, logging into newsvine is a chore. It asks me for an email address, I go thru all the mail on my kitchen table, and I can never find anything from "E", who ever that is.
2) I love fast cars. The fastest car I ever owned was a 1968 VW Beetle. Man did that car scream. Once I got it up to 60 MPH! Of course I was going downhill at the time but I can remember it like it was yesterday. I can still feel the wheel shaking in my hands as I shot by a little old lady driving her Ford Maverick to church.
3) I love listening to classical music. There is no better evening than making a warm cup of tea, turning on my 8 track player, tossing in Alvin and the Chipmunks, and settling into my bean bag chair to enjoy the melodic sounds and perfect harmonies of Alvin and the boys.
4) I really enjoy playing music. My favorite instrument is the washboard. Man, it's the greatest. I can strum away on the ridges rockin' to Lawrence Welk, and if my schedule is tight, I can do my laundry at the same time. You should see all the bubbles I can make while washing my underwear.
